More Landscaping Clients is an independent site for people who own landscaping and lawn care companies and want a fuller route without signing a contract to find out whether the marketing works.

Who writes it

Steve Meitler is the editor. He has spent the last several years running growth campaigns for local service businesses, landscaping and lawn care companies among them, and has watched enough owners get sold "guaranteed rankings" in February and dropped in July to know what those pitches are missing: numbers anyone can check.

Where the benchmark numbers come from

The benchmark report is built from public Google Business Profile listings. We search Google Maps for landscapers and lawn care services in every US state, keep the public fields on each listing (review count, rating, whether a website is linked, hours, category, city and state), remove duplicates by Google place ID, and compute the statistics. Nothing comes from behind a login and no reviewer data is stored. The dataset currently holds 91,717 listings across 51 states and is refreshed monthly.

The two source categories, landscapers and lawn care services, are merged because the same owners work both sides. That means a design-build firm and a solo mowing operation sit in the same median, worth remembering when you compare yourself. At this scale collection errors are unavoidable, so treat every figure as accurate to within a point or two, not to the decimal.

Editorial rules

  • No pay-to-play. Nobody can buy a mention, a recommendation, or a place in a list here.
  • Every number is sourced, either to our own dataset or to a primary source such as Google's published documentation. Where a guide gives an opinion, it says so.
  • Guides are written for an owner who is on a mower most of the day. If a step cannot be done in a lunch break or handed to an office manager, it does not go in.
  • Seasonal advice is dated, because a plan written for March is wrong in September. Guides are updated when platforms change.

How the free trial works

The site is paid for by the marketing work we do for landscaping and lawn care companies. Every service is a free 14-day trial because an owner should watch the phone ring before writing anyone a check.

You text or call and say what you want to try: Google Ads, Meta ads, AI search optimization, local SEO and profile work, a website, social media, review generation, missed-call text-back, email and SMS to your customer list, bookkeeping, or appointment setting. We build it in your own accounts, usually within 48 hours of a 20-minute setup call, and it runs for 14 days. No card is taken and nothing renews. At the end you keep it at the price quoted before it started, switch services, or stop and keep whatever was built.

Text or call (385) 832-6175, or use the free trial page. The FAQ covers most questions first.

Try any marketing service free for 14 days.

Pick anything we do. We run it for your landscaping or lawn care company for two full weeks at no cost, then you decide. No card, no contract, nothing to cancel.
